Mormonism is any of several denominations which stem from the religion founded by Joseph Smith in 1830. Smith published the Book of Mormon, the religious text upon which the faith is based. The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, the largest denomination within the Mormon faith. Other denominations include the Community of Christ, the Church of Christ, and the Apostolic United Brethren.
