Winslet, Kate

Actress Kate Winslet was born in Reading, Berkshire, England on October 5, 1975. She studied theater and acting since she was a child and appeared in her first film, "Heavenly Creatures" in 1994. She came to international attention with her roles in "Sense and Sensibility" and in "Titanic." She has been married three times. In November 1998, she married Jim Threapleton, a director. They have daughter, Mia Honey Threapleton, and were divorced in December 2001.She married director Sam Mendes in May 2003 and had a son, Joe Alfie Winslet Mendes, in December of that same year. They were divorced in 2011. In December 2012, she married Ned Rocknroll, nephew of Virgin founder Richard Branson and works for the space travel division of that company, Virgin Galactic. They have a son, Bear Blaze Winslet.
