Columnist, author, and television talk show host Bill O'Reilly was born in New York City on September 10, 1949. A high school honors student, Bill went on to college and became a high school English as well as a high school history teacher. He returned to college where he earned his bachelor of arts degree in history, and on further to get his masters degree in broadcast journalism at Boston University. He became a reporter as well as an anchor, moving around the country, from Colorado to Oregon, the Connecticut, and places between. He got his own show, which would become "The O'Reilly Factor" on Fox News in 1996 and, at the same time hosted a radio show. He married Maureen McPhilmy in 1996 and together they have a daughter and a son. They were divorced in 2011.
