DiCaprio, Leonardo

Leonardo DiCaprio, born November 11, 1974, is an actor and producer. Born in Los Angeles, California, his mother was a legal secretary who immigrated to the United States from her native Germany, and his father is an underground comic artist and comic book producer and distributor. His mother was in a museum looking at a painting by Leonardo da Vinci when she first felt Leonardo kick, which is where he got his name. His parents divorced when he was still a baby, and Leo lived with his mother most of the time. He speaks fluent German as he spent time with his grandparents in Germany. He began appearing in television commercials when he was a young child, and his first big break was as Luke Brower in the sitcom "Growing Pains." Although he has been involved in several high-profile relationships, he has not been married.
