Born John Christopher Depp II on June 9, 1963 in Owensboro, Kentucky, Johnny Depp is an actor and musician. His first exposure to the nation was on the 1987 television series 21 Jump Street, which made him a teen idol. He subsequently played in "Nightmare on Elm Street," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," and "Pirates of the Caribbean." He and Lori Allison were married in 1983 and divorced in 1985. Subsequently, he was engaged to Jennifer Grey, Sherilyn Fenn, and Winona Ryder, in that order. That was followed by a serious relationship with supermodel Kate Moss. In 1998, he entered into a live-in situation with French actress Vanessa Paradis, which lasted until June of 2012. They have two children. He began dating Amber Heard, a model and actress, shortly after that breakup and they have been engaged since Christmas Eve of 2013.
