The village of DeForest, Wisconsin is located in Dane County, on the banks of the Yahara River. Originally part of the town of Windsor, it was named in honor of Isaac De Forest, the man who bought the land which is now DeForest. There are eleven parks and four conservancies within the village, and the Yahara River Trail System is nearby.
