The village of Hartville, Ohio is situated in Stark County. The oldest building still standing building in Hartville is the Hartville Hotel, which is currently called the Pantry. It was built in 1829 by early pioneer John Morehart using logs felled from nearby woods. Grist mills were established on the banks of the small streams in the township. Sawmills and distilleries soon made their appearance in town. But today, the village relies mostly on tourism.
