Lodi, New Jersey, is located in Bergen County. The name Lodi comes from the city in Italy which is named Lodi Lombardy. It was incorporated as a borough in 1894, and prior to that, it was a township. That township, now defunct, was established in 1826. Part of that township became the current borough of Lodi, and the rest was divided up into Hasbrouck Heights, South Hackensack, and Little Ferry.
