Situated in Arapahoe County, the City of Centennial is the tenth largest city in Colorado. Centennial was incorporated from unincorporated parts of Arapahoe County, including the communities of Castlewood and Southglenn, in 2001, largely to prevent annexations from Greenwood Village. Parts of Centennial are served by mailing addresses in Aurora, Englewood, and Littleton, although Centennial and Englewood are not contiguous, while portions of Centennial are surrounded by Aurora, and vice versa.
