Tucson, the county seat of Pima County in Arizona, 60 miles north of the U.S.-Mexican border. It has two commonly used nicknames: The Old Pueblo and Optics Valley. It gets its name from the O’odham, or Uto-Aztec, word which means “at the bottom of the black hill,” which refers to the nearb volcano.
