The so-called Radical Reformation was a Christian movement which was going on during the same time period as the Protestant Reformation. The leaders of this movement rejected both Catholic tradition and the newer Protestant alternative. Because of this position, the Catholic Church as well as those in the fledgling Protestant movement persecuted them. Those in the Radical Reformation included Anabaptists, a movement which spawned Mennonites, Hutterites, and Amish.
