Lupus erythematosus, often called lupus, is a collection of autoimmune diseases. There are four kinds of lupus: systemic lupus erythematosus, drug-induced lupus erythematosus, neonatal lupus erythematosus, and discoid lupus erythematosus, with systemic lupus erythematosus, being the most serious and most common type.
