The Bahá'í Faith, established in Persia in 1844 and teaches three core principles: the unity of God, the unity of religion, and the unity of humanity. Followers of the faith believe that humanity is in a process of collective evolution and that divine messengers each founded religions suited to the needs of different people and times. The messengers, among them Abraham, the Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, the Báb and Bahá'u'lláh, each foretold the arrival of the next messenger.
