The Baptist Church, a Christian denomination, is one which subscribes to the doctrine that says only professed believers, as opposed to infants, are eligible for baptism. They further believe that it must be done by immersion rather than sprinkling. Baptists also believe in salvation through faith alone, Scripture alone as the rule of faith and practice, and soul competency.
