Anglican Catholicism, also known as Anglo-Catholicism, is part of the Anglican communion which was formed in 1977 after the Book of Common Prayer was revised by the Episcopal Church. When this schism first appeared, the break-off called itself the "Anglican Church in North America." The name was later changed to the "Anglican Catholic Church."
