Clive Staples Lewis (November 29, 1898 - November 22, 1963), was known as an author, broadcaster, and theologist. He abandoned the Christian faith of his upbringing at 15, shortly after his mother died of cancer and became an atheist. Later, he wrote that he was "angry with God for not existing." He returned to Christ at age 41 and wrote prolifically about his faith, became an apologist and broadcaster on a radio program which was heard through the years London was being bombed in World War II.
