The city of Windsor is the southernmost city in Canada, and it is in fact south of Detroit, Michigan, in the United States. Nicknamed as The City of Roses, it was settled in 1794, and at that time was called Sandwich. That name was later changed to its current Windsor, in honor of the town oof Windsor in Berkshire, England.
