There have been literally hundreds of translations of the Christian Bible: from languages including Aramaic, Hebrew, Greek, and Latin and into modern languages such as English, Spanish, and Chinese. There are translations which seek to capture exactly what the Word originally meant, and those which seek to modernize the language and narrative, such as those which are an attempt to de-genderize the Bible.
